The RAFTAs hits the festivals!

26 Apr

Excited by our success with The RAFTAs reaching the finals of this year’s Funny women UK Film Awards, we have decided to try our luck at a number of UK short film festivals this year. The first of these submissions are the Edinburgh Short Film Festival, London Short Film Festival, Reading Fringe Film Festival and Manchester Lift-off.

Fingers crossed!

Comedy short, The RAFTAs, reaches the Funny Women finals!

9 Apr

Fresh from the editing suite with just a week in the can, our new chort (comedy short) The RAFTAs was announced as one of the semi-finalists for the prestigious Funny Women UK Film Awards in February this year. Needless to say we are thrilled!

Starring Phillip Lawrence, Lisa Rose and Tess Rowe, the 5 minute short satirizes a primary school’s end of year headteacher address to parents and students.

RAFTAs still 1

The RAFTAs is a playful stab at the increasing pomposity of modern times and its effect on education for the UK’s more privileged youth.

As the short is still doing the festival rounds (and will be for a couple of months yet) if you would like to have a look at the full film then please feel free to drop us a line with your email and we will forward you the link and password to view it. In the meantime, keep an eye out on this site for the trailer coming very soon.
