Kenneth Branagh Award winning comedy BEST SERVED COLD takes to the stage once again!

19 May

In 2015, Victoria Taylor Robert’s half hour comedy, Best Served Cold, was named one of three winners of the Kenneth Branagh Drama Award and enjoyed a three night run in the Windsor Fringe Festival.

Best Served Cold is a fast-paced comedy following the antics of the sickly pensioner Alma who, from her death bed, colludes with her grandson, Toby, to protect his inheritance from both the tax man and his vicious step-mother, Susan. To ensure success, they must keep their activities secret from Alma’s feckless son, Mitch – easier said than done when there’s more at stake than just money.

After recently being invited by The Kings Head Theatre to reprise Best Served Cold for one night (SUNDAY JUNE 11th) Wistful Thinking decided it was high time that the play had a London run. As well as the one-off date at the fabulous Kings Head, BSC will now also have a four night run at the Etcetera Theatre in Camden from TUESDAY 27th JUNE to FRIDAY 30th JUNE. (Further show / venue details below.)

The show is directed by SHARON SMALL and we have a great cast onboard for both productions: Yvo Brunskill as Alma, Alexander Chard as Toby, April Rose Small as Susan and Dominic Goldberg as Mitch.

Tickets are available on the door, on the night at both venues (to avoid booking fees) or can soon be purchased at the below sites:

SUNDAY 11th JUNE: The Kings Head, 115 Upper Street, London N1 1QN
